Five Faces Secures Series A Funding Backed by Queensland’s Female Founders Co-Investment Fund

Five Faces has announced a Series A funding round of AUD $1 million backed by the Queensland Government's Female Founders Co-Investment Fund.

Australian patient experience software provider Alphalitica Pty Ltd, trading as Five Faces, has announced a Series A funding round of AUD $1 million. Led by technology investment specialists Utiliti Group, the round brings in private investment combined with support from Queensland Government initiative, the Female Founders Co-Investment Fund.

The first external capital the business has raised, the round will drive innovation through new digital health solutions and expansion within Australia and overseas.

Five Faces gives hospitals and health providers the ability to digitise the patient experience quickly.

“Patients today expect a digital-first approach across all hospital touchpoints,” said Nicole Nixon, CEO of Five Faces. “But they are still faced with phone calls, paper forms, long queues and long waits in crowded waiting rooms. It’s not 1999, but it can still feel like it. Due to the complexity in the health system, the industry has often lagged when it comes to digitisation.”

“Patients are consumers first. If they can use their mobile to check into a flight, they expect the same to check into a hospital appointment. Technology has a big role to play in improving efficiency for all involved in the hospital journey, while giving patients a personalised, convenient experience.”

The company’s patient experience solutions are used by leading providers, including Sydney Local Health District, Alfred Health, New Dunedin Hospital and others.

Commenting on the Series A raise, Utiliti Managing Partner, Jason Serda, said the investment followed year-on-year revenue growth of +32% in 2024, along with the recruitment of blue-chip partners such as NTT DATA Australia, NTT DATA New Zealand and Privy.

“We are excited to be investing in Five Faces at a time of growth for the business and innovation in the healthcare sector,” Serda said. “Utiliti and its investors were very impressed with the technology, recent traction, as well as the team and look forward to actively supporting Five Faces to scale globally.”

Queensland Government’s Female Founders Co-Investment Fund has supported the capital raise with a funding grant to support early-stage investment and growth.

Minister for Science and Innovation Andrew Powell said it’s exciting to see Five Faces making a difference in the health industry thanks to the Queensland Government’s mentoring and advocacy support.

“The Female Founders Co-Investment Fund is about providing women entrepreneurs with the tools to scale-up their business, expand into more markets and attract investors,” he said.

“It makes me incredibly proud to see this Queensland-based woman-led company go from strength to strength thanks to their ingenuity and our backing.”

Alphalitica Pty Ltd was founded in 2019 by CEO Nicole Nixon and CTO Abdul Alabri, who transformed the company from its origins in digital signage to a leading patient experience software provider. The company launched its low-code, foundational technology in 2024, which overcomes typical barriers to digitisation with modular, configurable solutions that allow hospitals to innovate at pace and scale, and drastically reduce administration burdens. Nicole Nixon was awarded Entrepreneur of the Year at the 2025 ARN Women in ICT Awards (WIICTA) last month.
